Ukrainian defense-tech company WINFLY has introduced its latest system—the WINFLY Spider. Built on the combat-proven WINFLY 10 Hunter platform and equipped with the integrated KARAKURT net launcher, the drone captures hostile aerial targets with a net and safely returns to base.
The WINFLY 10 Hunter has established a strong operational track record against hostile fixed-wing reconnaissance UAVs, Mavic-class quadcopters, tactical FPVs, and fiber-optic guided drones. Its effectiveness, however, presented operators with an operational dilemma: every successful kinetic engagement meant writing off the interceptor itself.
The solution came directly from the field. Operators began custom-fitting net launchers onto Hunter frames to capture targets while preserving the drone for repeated sorties. WINFLY standardized this approach into a factory-grade product—the Spider. The net launcher is fully integrated and calibrated out of the box, requiring zero field modifications by the pilot.

Hunter Platform: Operational ceiling up to 5,000 meters, maximum speed of 160 km/h, and an operational range exceeding 18 km via a ground control station. Target detection and recognition occur at ranges up to 500 meters. Setup takes under 3 minutes, with a flight endurance of up to 25 minutes. Day and night/thermal variants are available, with every airframe undergoing flight testing at the proving ground prior to delivery.

KARAKURT Net Launcher: Weighs 365 grams and deploys a 3×3-meter capture net at an optimal distance of 3–5 meters from the target, with an effective firing range of up to 15 meters. Built with a high-strength aluminum chamber, the system operates reliably in temperatures ranging from −20°C to +50°C.

Tactical Versatility: In addition to aerial interception, the system can neutralize drones on the ground or rooftops by entangling their rotors to prevent takeoff.
