DOT-Chain Defence marks its first anniversary. Frankly, without this platform, it is difficult to imagine how Ukraine would have sustained supply lines to the Defence Forces on the front lines.
Before the marketplace launched, procurement relied largely on chance. Connecting a manufacturer with an end-user combat unit required either pure coincidence or legacy personal connections. There was simply no centralized infrastructure where a defense-tech startup or manufacturer could register, onboard, and begin receiving supply orders directly.
DOT-Chain Defence changed that dynamic completely. The operational algorithm is now transparent, standardized, and straightforward.
The single greatest value for our team is the drastic compression of the cycle—from requisition to manufacturing and frontline delivery under a digitized model. At rollout, the Defence Procurement Agency set a clear objective: cut the fulfillment timeline from 14+ days down to seven. That benchmark pushed manufacturers, including WINFLY, to optimize internal workflows, assembly, and logistics to match that operational tempo. For a scaling defense-tech enterprise, this served as an actionable growth catalyst.
Crucially, DOT-Chain Defence established a direct, transparent digital communication channel between WINFLY, the State, and the Ministry of Defence, which procures systems and moderates orders between combat units and suppliers. This eliminates bureaucratic bottlenecks and saves vital operational time.
The DCD marketplace continues to iterate rapidly. A particularly valuable feature recently launched: direct operational feedback from frontline service members delivered straight to the manufacturer dashboard. We have already assigned dedicated personnel to manage this stream and process field reports. While frontline input is not always consistent in cadence, its impact on hardware iteration is immediate. Based on direct unit feedback, we have already upgraded our failsafe procedures and refined our user manuals.
For us, this creates an agile feedback loop to continuously improve our platforms—because no one understands a drone’s real-world capabilities better than the operator deploying it in combat conditions.
